Can you describe how it feels to have that spiritual energy moving through you?
Great question, and always a hard one, but I'll give it a shot. Let me travel back 15 years, when I first visited a Sahaja Meditation center. People kept talking about these vibrations and how cool and powerful they felt. And I'll let you in on a little secret…
For the first 9 months, I didn't understand what this energy awakening thing really was. How is it supposed to feel? Observing and interacting with these people, it was obvious to me that they weren't imagining it or faking it. But I wasn't feeling these vibrations…why not?
And then one day, it happened. I felt it. Wow. I felt a strong, throbbing flow of energy through my fingers. It was a soothing, calming energy, sort of a tingling sensation — similar to a pleasant breeze that feels really good, except it was flowing through my fingers. The next thing I felt was a tingling sensation on the crown of my head, a strong throbbing. My natural reaction to this experience was to close my eyes, sit in silence and simply enjoy the flow of energy. I felt my thoughts and all the complications and conflicts in my mind receding, and felt a sense of perfect inner calm.
Looking back over the years, I can tell you that I usually have the same experience when I do my meditations. At times, my own energy centers are not in balance and my "reservoir" of meditation sessions is low. When that happens, the experience is not as strong. But once I get back on track, the experience feels the same way again.
