Does Sahaja meditation work for everybody, or are some people simply not able to get there?

Sahaja Meditation is a journey and every practitioner will be at a point in this journey that is defined by the state of his / her energy centers and how well-developed they are, or in some cases, how underdeveloped they are. The entire body of knowledge and techniques are available to everyone, so it's up to the practitioner to reap the benefits commensurate with the amount of attention, time and effort he or she is willing to invest.
Sahaja Meditation works for people for all ages, across all countries, religions. Anyone can learn. Everyone that I know who has practiced Sahaja Meditation has been able to experience the energy. But as with any physical fitness program such as weight training or strength training, a "spiritual fitness program" will only be as successful as the amount of effort you invest in it. They both require building the proper knowledge and understanding of the techniques, as well as having the motivation and maturity to pursue the fitness routine.
I'm sure you know lots of people who launch a fitness program or buy a gym membership with good intentions, but they don't put enough effort into it, so they don't get anywhere. They don't see results. Some people would rather take a pill to lose those extra pounds of fat. Some might be hoping to experience magic through Sahaja Meditation. They might think that Sahaja Meditation is some sort of a trendy spiritual renaissance pill. It's not. Sahaja Meditation is not a magic potion that you can take to instantaneously achieve spiritual enlightenment. And someone who approaches it with that mindset may never get what Sahaja Meditation really is or receive its benefits.
Someone who simply doesn't want to meditate, or isn't willing to work hard and experiment with techniques to improve themselves won't be able to get there either. Half-hearted attempts won't get you much. Lastly — and most importantly — people who are not mature, intelligent or open-minded enough to practice the techniques until they find the answers they're looking for are likely to end up dropping out without ever having had the true experience.
