For what diseases has Sahaja Meditation demonstrated proven benefit?
Several studies have been conducted by doctors in different countries on the ability of Sahaja Meditation to cure diseases. These prove that it helps reduce the severity of asthma. Another study performed on groups of children showed that Sahaja Meditation can help in reducing problems relating to attention and hyperactivity.
Another Australian study showed improvement in relationship quality and self-esteem of children. Sahaja Meditation has also helped lower anxiety levels, improve concentration level and have fewer conflicts in parents and children alike, as shown by other studies.
Other medical studies have also shown that Sahaja Meditation can also be a very effective treatment for hypertension and epilepsy.
Is Sahaja Meditation a cure for every disease or disorder?
No. In fact, you have to remember that Sahaja Meditation is not meant to be a cure at all. Curing or treatment efficacy is a coincidental side benefit that can occur naturally once the root cause, or the underlying energy imbalance, is fixed. The other necessary aspect is having faith in the inner energy, and having the perseverance to continue using it. Granted, this is a highly qualitative aspect that can't easily be quantified or tangibly and consistently replicated from practitioner to practitioner. That's what makes the curative power of Sahaja Meditation difficult to establish. It may or may not work for any one individual, depending on a number of parameters.
Whenever the topic of cures and treatments comes up, it best left to the practitioner to experiment, without any promises or guarantees from Sahaja Meditation. In fact, they don't even recommend trying Sahaja Meditation for curing, unless the person is really persistent and feels that Sahaja Meditation —as a therapy — is the ultimate and only way out.
I think it's probably safe to say that Sahaja Meditation cannot cure people who seek only to get the curative benefits of Sahaja Meditation but have no connection to their inner energy, or continue to doubt that such an energy exists. That won't work. Obtaining cures through Sahaja Meditation is only possible for someone who is already practicing it, can at least feel the energy, and is committed to investing the time and effort to explore the process and take it further. In fact, if someone showed up at one of the Sahaja Meditation centers asking only for a cure for some disease or disorder, they would likely refuse such a request.
Having said all that, I think that the inner energy system always offers hope of cure, or at least treatment and relief, if one is willing to go the distance.
