Can Sahaja Meditation be a family thing?
Sure! I've seen many families practicing Sahaja Meditation; in fact, the Sahaja culture includes a very special focus on raising children — making them strong, independent and disciplined yet loving individuals. Innocence is an important quality that is appreciated and sought after; in fact, innocence is a fundamental quality of the most important energy center that encompasses the foundation of our very existence. Innocence is powerful and magnetic, as well. A well knit and close family culture is greatly encouraged in Sahaja Meditation. I've seen teachings that question why children should have to leave their parents once they grow up, rather parents should be supportive of their children for as long as it takes their children to be successful in their lives. Likewise, the teachings also encourage children to respect and take good care of their parents and do this for real, not the way most people might once a year by buying a gift on Mother's or Father's day.
That said, there is preaching or pressure or any kind of semblance of anyone in Sahaja Meditation asking anyone else about how or why they are managing their family relationships - this is treated as strictly personal to the practitioner and not some kind of a collective mandate or anything. Even if someone did not believe in having a family, that person would be welcomed and treated on par with everyone else.
